Volunteers 2013

We are saddened and heartbroken to announce the passing of one of our longest standing volunteers, Agnes Kalbfleich.  This loss leaves a hole in the heart of our team of volunteers and our community.  Agnes was a joy to be around, always smiling and sharing her endearing spirit with everyone who attended the Victoria Dragon Boat Festival each and every year.

A Celebration of life will be held Tuesday December 16th at Mt. View, 3814 Carey Road on Tuesday, December 16th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.

Based on discussions with her family they could use support to cover the costs of the memorial service and related end of life expenses. To help defray such costs a memorial account is being set up to accept donations.

Agnes exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism not only for our festival but for many other events in Victoria.

If you wish to make a donation to assist the family, you may choose to provide a cheque payable to the Victoria Dragon Boat Festival Society, and write on the cheque that is to be utilized for the “Agnes Kalbfleisch Memorial Fund.”

Online donations are also being accepted through the Donate button below.

Funds will be released to her executor, administrator or person who is looking after the arrangements.  For more details or to make a cash donation, please contact our office at 250-704-2500 or volunteer@victoriadragonboat.com.

Thank you
